Obituary

Patricia “Pat” J. Nelson, 79, Leavenworth passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at Providence Medical Center after a battle with cancer. Pat was born in Lansing, Kansas on March 15, 1939 to Chad and Lorraine (White) Chambers. She married Dallas B. Nelson on Aug. 28, 1959 in Leavenworth, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2016. Pat loved to bowl, doing crafts, horseback riding and taking care of her granddaughter, Emily Goodson. Pat is survived by her daughter, Dianna (John “Alan”) Goodson, granddaughter, Emily Goodson and brother, Robert (Pam) Chambers, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at the funeral home at 6–8 p.m. A Funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Kenneth Payne officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Belden Larkin Funeral Home.
